Behavioral Health Credentialing

We help behavioral health providers with credentialing: therapists, counselors, psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers. We work with private practices.

Mental health and therapist credentialing: how we help

See our how it works page for the steps we follow.

The CAQH Provider Data Portal (formerly ProView) is a centralized provider data repository used by many health plans during credentialing and enrollment. EnrollMD can help set up new CAQH profiles and keep existing ones current. See our CAQH setup and maintenance service.

DataSpring, powered by CAQH, says providers generally must attest to their CAQH Provider Data Portal profiles every 120 days, and some states differ (DataSpring resources page, read Oct 23, 2026). An incomplete or expired profile can hold up review.

Medicare: what CMS says

These points come from CMS and apply to Medicare only.

  • Only you can sign. CMS says the enrolling practitioner is the only person who can sign the PECOS application or the paper CMS-855I, and that this authority can't be delegated.
  • Joining a group. CMS says that to reassign Medicare benefits to a group, both the practitioner and the group must be enrolled or enrolling in Medicare at the same time.
  • Revalidation. CMS says failing to revalidate on time could result in a hold on your Medicare reimbursement or deactivation of your Medicare billing privileges, and that you're responsible for keeping track of your due date. Our recredentialing and revalidation service covers this.

What we do and don't do

We don't provide billing or coding services. Approval, effective dates, and processing timelines are outside our control. For how pricing works, see our pricing page.
